VIT university in Limca Book of Records for eighth time for recruitment

Vellore: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) University found its place in the Limca Book of Records for the eighth time in a row since 2009 after record number of its students were mass recruited by Wipro Technologies.

A total of 139 students with a CTC (cost to company) of Rs 6 lakh per annum, from the 2018 graduating batch were recruited during the campus recruitment drive held at VIT campus in Vellore between 27 and 29 August 2017.

This being the highest number of offers given by a company to students from a single institution, has found a place in the Limca Book of Records in its 2019 edition. It has been featured on 95th page of the book.
