IAF strikes on Pak will help BJP win 22 of 28 seats: Yeddyurappa

Bengaluru: Karnataka BJP chief B S Yeddyurappa issued a shocking statement yesterday that Indian Air Force’s air strikes on terror bases in Pakistan will help BJP win 22 of 28 seats in the state in the coming Lok Sabha elections. The party is currently holding 16 Lok Sabha seats in the State.

His statements comes a day after the IAF carried out major surgical strikes in Pakistan as a major crackdown against terrorism targeting the Jaish-e-Mohammed terror camp in Balakot. Many terrorists, trainers and senior commanders were said to be killed in the bombing.

Speaking to reporters, Yeddyurappa said that the attacks have enthused the youth. “The atmosphere….day by day the wind is increasingly blowing in favour of BJP. Yesterday’s action of destroying terror hideouts by entering inside Pakistan has resulted in a pro-Modi wave in the country, the results of which can be seen in coming Lok Sabha polls.”
