Chennai: Indiya Jananayaka Katchi (IJK) founder Parivendhar arrived at the DMK headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, to join the alliance headed by the Dravidian major.
According to TV reports, DMK president M K Stalin had invited him for talks to the party headquarters this morning.
It is to be noted that during the last general elections, the IJK was a part of the BJP alliance and this time it would be arraigned against it as it supports the DMK alliance.
Speaking to mediapersons, Parivendhar said as the PMK was part of the BJP-AIADMK alliance, it would not be possible for it to continue in such a set-up. Also, he said Tamilnadu needs a major change and only Stalin would be capable of bringing about the political change.
Hence, the party opted support the DMK alliance in the upcoming elections, he said.
