BJP leaders in Telangana take Metro ride, seek public’s views on manifesto

K Laxman

Hyderabad: In a unique initiative K Laxman and other BJP leaders in Telangana travelled in the Hyderabad Metro to seek direct views from the people about the Lok Sabha election manifesto.

Talking about the journey, Laxman said the ride on metro was undertaken as an innovative way to know the pulse of the people.

A release issued by the BJP said that the public welcomed the efforts made by their leaders, especially from youth, women and IT employees.

Many passengers also welcomed Narendra Modi governments firmness towards Pakistan and terrorists and many of NDA’s schemes, especially the ‘Kisan Samman Nidhi‘, reservation for economically backward sections.

Last month, Laxman had announced that the BJP would be initiating this innovative method of reaching out to the people. He had said his party members would be taking to the Metro and seek peoples feedback on what should be incorporated in the manifesto. Boxes will be taken to give responses and they will be then sent to the coordinating team in the party’s head office where it will be analysed. Common points will be incorporated, thereafter.
