Modi has taken Narasimha avatar to decimate terrorists, says OPS

Kanyakumari: Referring to Indian Air Force’s strikes on a terror camp in Balakot, Pakistan, on 26 February, Tamilnadu Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam yesterday called Narendra Modi the ‘Narasimha avatar’ – the incarnation of Lord Vishnu in the form of human body with the head of a lion.

Heaping praise on the Prime Minister, who was in the State yesterday to launch various government projects, Panneerselvam said yesterday’s event was a beginning to the Himalayan victory of the, apparently referring that AIADMK-BJP alliance will win the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Tamilnadu.

Speaking about the 26 February air strikes, he said Modi did not buckle under the threat of terrorism and has taken the Narasimha avatar and decimated the terrorists. Modi battled the external threats without a wink of sleep, and such resolute steps and strong and steadfast leadership has sent warnings to countries that supported terrorism, the Deputy CM lauded.

Tamilnadu Chief Minister Palaniswami, in his speech, thanked the Prime Minister on behalf of the State for the successful air strikes on the terrorists camp and for bringing back Wing Commander Abhinandan safely to India. He praised his bold measures to root out terrorism. He further said the entire nation and Tamilnadu was with Modi.

Palaniswami also requested Modi to establish a naval station at Kanyakumari for ensuring the safety and security of fishermen. This is the first time Modi and the two AIADMK leaders are appearing together at a public function after the BJP formed an alliance with the ruling AIADMK on 19 February.
