Chennai: The DMK has allotted one seat to the Indiya Jananayaka Katchi (IJK), founded by Parivendhar, in its alliance.

Arriving at the DMK headquarters, Anna Arivalayam, on Saturday, he indicated that he would support the alliance headed by the Dravidian major.

Today, the seat-sharing deal was signed between DMK president M K Stalin and the IJK that was represented by Parivedhar’s son Ravi Pachamoothoo.

It is to be noted that during the last general elections, the IJK was a part of the BJP alliance and this time it would be arraigned against it as as it is part of the DMK alliance.

The IJK will be contesting on the symbol of the DMK and it has sought the Kallakurichi constituency, said Ravi.

Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday, Parivendhar had said as the PMK was part of the BJP-AIADMK alliance, it would not be possible for it to continue in such a set-up. Also, he had said Tamilnadu needs a major change and only Stalin would be capable of bringing about the political change.
