Today powerful characters are written for women. I want to do strong roles and leave a mark in the industry, says actress Indhu aka Devandhi.
She was working in a corporate firm in London and was earning plenty. However, she chose to return to India recently bitten by acting bug. She came across an opportunity to be part of a movie titled Veerasekaran in a meaty role.
Her performance won her lots of appreciation and she soon had offers pouring in her kitty. She acted in films including Ammavin Kaipesi, Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam Iyakkam, Ninaithathu Yaro, Kadhalukku Kannillai, Vemmilla Veedu among others. Also her performance in negative roles in several television serials won her appreciation.
Says the actress, who emerged the winner of ‘Mrs Chennai’ title recently, “I love acting. Especially there is an urge to do roles with negative shades. I don’t differentiate between big scrteen and small. Today power characters are written for women. I hope to make a mark in Kollywood soon.”
