Amaravati: Kick-starting YSRC’s election campaign in Kakinada yesterday, the party’s president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy asked the people to vote for change to bring in welfare and development in equal measure. He termed the coming elections a fight between credibility and opportunism, and democracy and anarchy.
He charged that the Chief Minister and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu had cheated the people and it was time for the people to teach him a lesson. Calling Naidu an ‘unscrupulous person,’ Reddy said the former was responsible for the division of the state and also stalling Special Category Status. He further alleged that Naidu had defaced Polavaram project a stood as a promoter of real estate business in Amaravati.
Meanwhile, Naidu held a teleconference with his party cadres. He alleged that YSRC was seeking to win the elections through conspiracies. Jagan Mohan Reddy has criminal record and has not only been to jail and but had also sent several others, Naidu further alleged. “In this just war, victory will be TDPs,” he assured.
