Tasmac staff in Chennai held for murder

Chennai: A Tasmac worker was arrested today for murdering his co-worker. According to the police, Mahendran (60), lived and worked at a Tasmac outlet at Alapakkam, Maduravoyal.

On 11 March morning, his relative Seeman (47) met him and told him that he would return in sometime. At 12 pm, when he came back, Mahendran was found dead at the parking area of the Tasmac outlet.

The post-mortem report from Kilpauk Government Hospital stated that he was pushed down to the ground and died of head injuries.

After enquiries, police arrested Raja (23) of Ramnathapuram for murdering Mahendran. He confessed to police that Mahendran had not opened the Tasmac shop on time that day and he scolded him for not cleaning the premises.
During which he angrily pushed him and his head hit against an iron gate. He later moved his body to the parking area.
