Vellore: Two new buildings, a 13-floor hostel block named after former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and a five-floor academic block named after Mahatma Gandhi will be dedicated at the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) tomorrow.
The new buildings, constructed at a cost of Rs 156 crore, will be formally dedicated by Indian Bank managing director and chief executive officer Padmaja Chunduru.
VIT founder-Chancellor G Viswanathan will preside over the function to be held at Dr M Channa Reddy Auditorium, VIT. Padmaja will also deliver the International Women’s Day address on the occasion. VIT alumina and Ramco Systems vice-president G Muthazhaghi will be the guest of honour.
