2019 general elections: CM Palaniswami calls on DMDK founder Vijayakanth

Chennai: Tamilnadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami called on DMDK founder-leader Vijayakanth at his Saligramam residence here this morning.

The Chief Minister presented him with a bouquet and draped him with a shawl. In return, Vijayakanth, honoured him with a shawl and was helped in the process by his brother-in-law Sudhish.

It is reported that the Chief Minister met Vijayakanth to enquire about his health.

The meeting happened at a time when the AIADMK is expected to announce the list of constituencies that the party and its alliance partners will contest in the Lok Sabha elections.

Ministers C Vijaya Bhaskar, Dindigul C Sreenivasan and Kadambur Raju accompanied Palaniswami during the visit.

Post the meeting, Palaniswami, the joint coordinator of the AIADMK, went to the party headquarters at Royapettah and held discussions with Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam, who is the party’s coordinator.
