Chennai: Leading car manufacturer Ford has launched its refresed Figo hatchback for the year with prices starting at Rs 5.15 lakh.
Ford says the car has more than 1,200 new parts and will be available in a simplified line-up of three variants across two fuel options and seven colours.
“As a brand, Figo has been a preferred choice of first-time car buyer thanks to the practicality and value on offer,” said president and MD, Ford India, Anurag Mehrotra.
The car will come with a three cylinder 1.2L TiVCT petrol engine and a 1.5L TDCi diesel powerplant. Both fuel options have mileage figures of more than 20 kmpl.
Both engines will be paired with a five-speed manual transmission that Ford claims is almost 15 per cent lighter and helps improve fuel economy while reducing NVH. It also requires 40 per cent lesser gear oil than its predecessor. There is also a six-speed automatic transmission on offer that will come only with a 1.5L petrol.
The hatchback will be offered with dual airbags as standard across the variant line-up.
