5 Indians killed in Christchurch attack

Hyderabad: Among the five Indian-origin people killed in last weeks terror attack on two mosques at Christchurch in New Zealand, is Ozair Kadir who hailed from Hyderabad, Telangana.

According to media reports, Ozair Kadir was identified by the Indian High Commission was a resident of Noorkhan Bazar area. His brother was on way to New Zealand. Ahmed Iqbal Jahangir, a city resident, has been injured in the massacre Friday, while Farhaj Ahsan, an engineer from here, was feared dead.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi had tweeted on Saturday night that Ahsan had passed away. The five Indian’s killed were Maheboob Khokhar, Ramiz Vora, Asif Vora, Ansi Alibava and Ozair Kadir.

A 28-year old man had targeted immigrants during Friday prayers in Christchurch and fifty people were killed in the attack.
