Chennai: Former MLA V P Kalaiarajan, who was expelled from the AMMK yesterday, today joined DMK in the presence of the party president M K Stalin in Trichy.
The former AIADMK MLA of T Nagar was AMMK’s South Chennai district secretary and has been replaced by Sugumar Babu for the post.
Kalairajan said he did not have any difference of opinion with AMMK founder T T V Dhinakaran.
“Cadres from several other parties including AMMK will soon join the DMK,” he said.
If Stalin should lift a finger, I will complete the work (Stalin Suttu Viral Neetinal, Sittaga Parandhu Paniyatruven) declared Kalairajan after the meeting.
When Stalin was asked by mediapersons if he saw the AMMK as a competitor, he said he does not consider anybody / any party as competition.
