2019 Elections: TN CM unwell, calls off campaign

Chennai: Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami cancelled his campaign in Central Chennai and South Chennai constituencies this morning due to health reasons.

Sources said Palaniswami was suffering from throat infection and had to skip the campaign arranged in support of PMK’s Sam Paul and AIADMK’s J Jayavardhan who are contesting in Central and South Chennai constituencies, respectively.

A revised plan of Palaniswami’s campaign was released later in the day which said he would begin canvassing at 2 pm and would continue till 9.45 pm covering various areas in the constituencies.

Meanwhile, AISMK president and actor Sarathkumar called on Palaniswami today and offered his party’s support to the AIADMK alliance.
