Chennai: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was scheduled to hold a meeting with DMK and Congress leaders at Anna Arivalayam here.
Since DMK president M K Stalin was in election campaign at Tiruvarur, it is said Chandrababu Naidu will meet senior DMK leaders R S Bharathy and TKS Elangovan.
Elections were held in Andhra Pradesh in the Phase I on 11 April. Chandrababu Naidu has complained to the ECI about the malfunctioning of EVMs.
Meanwhile, former Minister and DMK member Mullaivendhan met AMMK’s Dharmapuri candidate Palaniappan and extended his support to him. Earlier in the day, Mullaivendan was suspended for violating the party rules and regulations. It may be noted that, a few days ago, Mullaivendan met PMK youth wing president Anbumani Ramadoss.
Stalin also wrote a letter to the party cadres today and said the support of the people is with DMK. He also alleged that the Election Commission failed to stop the voters being bribed by the AIADMK alliance.
