B Tech dropout held in Telangana for pretending to be cop

Hyderabad: The Telangana police arrested a B Tech dropout for impersonating as assistant commissioner.

According to media reports, M V Ravichandra (29) was going around Secunderabad by introducing himself as the assistant commissioner of police and deputy superintendent of police in the Intelligence wing.

When interrogated, Ravichandra told investigators passion for working in the police force made him to act like one.

In 2012, the accused had claimed to his friends and neighbours that he was selected as a DSP and was working in the Intelligence department. He was arrested in 2015 for beating up a person by impersonating as a DSP.

The officials also seized fake police identity cards, police uniform and several incriminating materials from him.
