Chennai: Country’s top carmaker Maruti Suzuki has launched the updated version of the Alto at Rs 2.93 lakh. The car comes with a BS6 ready engine along with improvement in safety kit.
The engine is a three cylinder petrol that produces 48 bhp and 69 Nm with a claimed economy figure of 22.05 kmpl. As standard, the car comes with a driver airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a seatbelt reminder for the driver and co-driver as well as a speed alert system.
Buyers can opt for a passenger airbag in all variants of the car. In the top variant, Maruti offers the car with ‘Smart Play’ dock with Bluetooth connectivity, for picking calls, music, navigation, etc.
