DMK sacks youth wing head who killed his brother

Chennai: Billa Jagan, Thoothukudi’s DMK youth wing head and Vijay fans club secretary who allegedly murdered his brother on 22 April has been suspended from the party.

In a statement here, DMK general secretary K Anbazhagan said the action was initiated after Jagan violated the party rules and regulations.

Jagan absconded after he shot and killed his brother Simson at midnight 22 April over a property dispute. Jagan along with his associates were later arrested and produced at the Thoothukudi Court.

They were given 15 days judicial custody following which they were lodged at the Perurani prison. Source said, during the investigation, Jagan had accepted that he shot his brother out of anger as he kept asking for his share of property.
