Lanka blasts: Businessman’s mortal remains laid to rest

Hyderabad: City-based businessman V Tulasi Ram was among the 10 Indians killed in the deadly bomb blasts in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. His mortal remains were brought to the city and he was laid to rest yesterday.

According to media reports, Tulasi Ram had gone to the island nation with his business partner M Srinivas Babu last week. Srinivas was also his distant relative.

“He went to Sri Lanka as part of a business trip and also a vacation. He spoke to us on Saturday and after that did not make any phone calls or answer our calls. Following the blasts, we enquired at different levels including the Indian High Commission,” the family members and friends were quoted saying to a media report.

Srinivas Babu was injured in the incident and was treated there, he is likely to fly back to Hyderabad today.

The deadly blasts occurred at three churches and three luxury hotels on Easter Sunday killing 359 and wounding more than 500 people.
