Fire breaks out at Chiranjeevi’s farmhouse

Chennai: Fire broke out on the sets of Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy inside actor Chiranjeevi’s farmhouse, located at Ranga Reddy district in Telangana, this morning.

The fire was spotted by locals in the area, who reported it to the police and the fire services department. Fortunately, there were no casualties or injuries to anyone.

“There was nobody on the sets of the film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy at the time of the accident,” a police official said. Sources say that fire erupted because of a short circuit.

The movie also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Sudeep, Tamannaah and Nayanthara among others. Being directed by Surender Reddy, it is Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charan who is at the helm of production for this film.

Meanwhile, there were rumours that fire broke out at the sets of ‘Vijay63’ in Chennai. However sources confirmed that the sets erected for Vijay’s earlier venture Mersal at a factory in Meenambakkam were brought down and the remains were burnt.
