Dana Naidu, a theatre personality from London, has been roped in to play the lead in a horror thriller titled Khyla. Directed by Bhaskar Srinivasan, the movie is set in a spooky bungalow. Dana Naidu plays a writer who visits the place for a research. Her weird encounters with evil spirits forms the crux of the movie.
The makers claim that they have bought Rs 5 lakh worth of weird dolls for a particular song sequence in the movie. Child artiste Baby Khyla essays the titular role. Yesteryear heroine Kausalya is also in the cast. The movie, bankrolled by Baskar Srinivasan himself, has cinematography by Barani Selvam. Music is by swaran.
Heaping praises on Dana Naidu, the director says, ‘She has come on 45 days vacation to India to shoot for the film. She fits the role well. It will not be a cliched horror tale. People will love it’.
