‘Petta’ filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj will be producing a new film under his home banner Stone Bench Creations. Sources say that he has approached Keerthy Suresh to play the lead role.
Keerthy Suresh was impressed with the storyline and agreed to be part of this project. Though it’s produced by Karthik Subbaraj, the film will be helmed by a debutant.
An official announcement will be made regarding the cast and crew soon, they add. It will be an women-centric film with all kinds of commercial elements in it.
Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh is making her debut in Bollywood. She will be paired opposite Ajay Devgn in this film which will be directed by Amit Sharma.
The film will be bankrolled jointly by Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla and Arunava Joy Sengupta under their respective banners. Reports are that the film will be on the life of the renowned football coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who ensured the Indian team’s victory in the 1956 Melbourne Olympics.
