Chennai: A few days after he sought the support of the DMK to dislodge the AIADMK government, Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam propaganda secretary Thanga Tamilselvan has dismissed the idea.
Speaking to mediapersons in Madurai this morning, the AMMK leader said it was the faction of now Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam that had sided with the DMK and voted against the AIADMK in the Assembly and called him a traitor.
Exuding confidence that the AMMK will win all the 22 Assembly seats in the by-polls, Thanga Tamilselvan said they would vote against the AIADMK government in the House.
The AMMK propaganda secretary had created a ripple by stating recently that his party would join hands with the DMK to throw out the Chief Minister Palansiwami-led government in Tamilnadu.
He than clarified that it did not mean that they were going to ally with the Dravidian major. In such a situation comes his present statement.
