Chennai: “The Election Commission should take tough action against Makkal Needhi Maiam chief Kamal Haasan for his remarks on ‘Hindu Terror’ at a campaign event,” said State unit president of BJP, Tamilisai Soundararajan.
In a statement here, Tamilisai said, “Kamal Haasan had stated at a campaign in a Muslim-populated area yesterday that the first terror act after Independence in the country was unleashed by a Hindu, while referring to Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination. To seek votes in the name of religion is condemnable.”
Tamilisai alleged that Kamal Haasan has been involving in dirty politics.
She wondered why he has not spoken a word about ‘terror’ unleashed recently in the neighbouring country by a few Islamic forces.
She sought the Election Commission to take action against him for his dangerous remarks.
