Hyderabad: Following Odisha government’s request to Telangana to help restore power after the the state was hit by cyclone Fani, Engineers of Telangana power utilities have laid 34 km of power lines in and around Bhubaneshwar.
The restoration work were bearing fruit as electricity supply was restored along these areas. On Odisha’s request, Telangana chief minister Chandrasekar Rao directed Chief Secretary S K Joshi and Transco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao to take up the matter.
On 7 May, about 1,000 employees from various power utilities of Telangana moved to Odisha in special vehicles to start the restoration works.
