Chennai: The city police are investigating the robbery of 40 mobile phones worth Rs 7 lakh and Rs 97,000 in cash from a store at Villivakkam.
According to the police, the shop is located at Anna Nagar East and is owned by Mohammed Mustafa.
This morning he came to the store to open it and found the lock of the shutter broken. In his complaint, he alleged that 40 mobile phones, worth Rs 7 lakh, were missing and Rs 97,000 cash kept in the shop was missing.
Subsequently, he lodged a complaint with the ICF police who have registered a case. The culprits damaged the CCTV cameras before carrying out the robbery.
