Chennai: The BJP state unit announced yesterday that a dinner meeting of alliance partners in New Delhi would take place today and that NDA leaders from Tamilnadu along with Chief Minister K Palaniswami and deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam will take part in it.
State BJP president Tamilisai Soundararajan said TMC leader G K Vasan, top leaders of PMK and DMDK would also attend the meeting and that it was being held to thank the party constituents for their hard in the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections to 542 seats and to talk about future schemes.
She further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah are expected to be present at the meet.
She pointed out that exit polls that suggested BJP-led NDA would return to power by crossing the majority mark of 272 and that the win would be a gift for the BJP and its allies.
