“A movie, even with a small content, can succeed if made well,” said actor S J Suryah.
Speaking at the thanks giving meet for his recent release Monster, Suryah said, “All credits to my filmmaker Nelson Venkatesan. He executed it well. Even without commercial elements, he made sure a movie can be interesting and appealing to masses.”
The movie is about a man and his travails with a rat. Priya Bhavani Shankar played the heroine.
“I started my career as filmmaker with Vaali and followed it with Khushi. But I always wanted to become an actor. Nothing new happened. But came Iraivi and things changed. I am happy today to see women and children come and see Monster in large number,” says Suryah.
“I am waiting for the release of Nenjam Marapadhillai and Iraavakalam. It will help me win more hearts.”
Suryah is also part of Uyarndha Manidhan in which shares the screen with Amitabh Bachchan.
“I want to do films in Telugu and Hindi cinema. More is merrier for me,” he adds.
