Thiruvananthapuram: In his Eid-ul-Fitr message, V P Suhaib Maulavi, Imam of the Palayam mosque, stated that those responsible for the Sri Lanka Easter Sunday blasts must be called devils and martyrs.
He further spoke about the importance of peace in society and stated that they were with the people of the island nation. Small children and women were among those who were brutally killed in the recent attack.
On 21 April, the deadly bomb blasts at eight places in Sri Lanka claimed more than 250 lives. Following that, the Islamic State had claimed responsibility for the incident.
Eid-ul-Fitr was celebrated ans special prayers were held across the State yesterday, thus marking the end of the 30-day fasting during the holy month of Ramzan.
