Junior Cricket Tournament held by SSM Nagar residents

Chennai: The eternal love for cricket in India unifies the people of our nation beyond all our diversities.

Taking a leaf out of this and to create more bonding among the 3,000 odd residents of SSM Nagar, a Junior Cricket Tournament was held recently.

A press release said, the event was conducted for two days in Kakkan playground. “Despite the scorching heat, children in large numbers took part. The organising committee kept the players hydrated by providing nutritious food. The grand final match was presided over by V Ramesh- the Secretary of Kanchipuram District Cricket Association and Vice President (Districts) Tamilnadu Cricket Association. The Man of the Series was given a brand new bicycle and all the finalists were presented with gold and silver medals,” the release added.

It further said that more such events will be conducted in the future. For details, contact 98844 27905.
