Madras Aryan Club wins fourth division league

Chennai: Madras Aryan Club defeated Triplicane Club by 84 runs in the fourth Division playoff match to clinch the championship.

Batting first, Madras Aryan Club scored 225 in 48.3 overs with Somasundaram top-scoring with 62. Triplicane CC however managed just 141 in 36 overs to lose the contest. S Sabarinathan from Madras Aryan Club took three wickets.

By winning the championship, Madras Aryan Club also advance to the third division alongside Nungambakkam Cricket Club, Krishnaraj Memorial Club and Triplicane Cricket Club
