Chennai: The Tamilnadu government today announced the reshuffle of 26 IPS officers. According to a statement from Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Niranjan Mardi, several police officials have been given promotions, transfers and postings with immediate effect.
Additional Commissioner of Police, Law and Order, South, Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal has been promoted as Additional Director General of Police. He is posted as Additional Director General of police, Operations, Chennai, replacing Ashish Bhengra, who is retiring on superannuation on 30 June.
Inspector General of Police, Modernisation, Vinit Dev Wankhede, has been promoted as Additional Director General of Police (DGP) and posted as ADGP, State Crime Records Bureau.
DGP Karan Singha is now, DGP, Training, as R C Kudawla is retiring end of this month. Commissioner of Police, Salem, K Shankar is posted as Inspector General of Police, CB-CID. Inspector General of Police, CB-CID, C Sridhar is posted as Inspector General Of Police, Modernisation.
Joint Commissioner of Police, North Zone, Prem Anand Sinha is promoted as Inspector General of Police and posted as Additional Commissioner of police, Law and Order, South. Joint Commissioner of Police, South, R Sudhakar is posted as Joint Commissioner of Police, Law and Order (East).
