No information on missing German woman: Kerala police

Thiruvananthapuram: Even as a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been set up by the Kerala police to probe the case of the missing German national, there has been no information so far on the woman – Lisa Wiese – who had reportedly arrived from Stockholm via Dubai to the State on 7 March.

The case was taken up by the State police after DGP Loknath Behara received a complaint from the woman’s mother through the German consulate.

PTI quoted IGP and Thiruvananthapuram City Police Commissioner, Dhinendra Kashyyap as saying Lisa Wiese had not filled the mandatory C form (when foreigners land in the country, it is mandatory for them to fill out Form C. But on verification).

When asked whether a UK national Ali Muhammed had accompanied her, Kashyyap said he was on the same flight in which the woman had come to Kerala. “Whether they came here and went to any other State or whether they went back through other airports or sea ports in India is being verified,” he said.

Meanwhile, photographs and details of the woman have been circulated and officials are widening their search in other States also.

It has been reported that the Kerala police were in the process of preparing a questionnaire through the consulate to be sent to the relatives of the 31-year-old woman.
