Poster contest on US, India space exploration

Chennai: The US Consulate General in Chennai is launching a poster contest during the month of July to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing mission and celebrate India’s second lunar launch. The Consulate seeks poster submissions from space enthusiasts of all ages on the theme ‘US-India Space Exploration.’

The Consulate invites participants from Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Puducherry, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands to submit original designs to [email protected] with subject line, ‘Poster Contest 2019’ before 31 July, a press release said.

Submissions will be judged by a panel consisting of representatives from the US Consulate General in Chennai. Entries will be judged on originality, artistry, and imaginative depiction of space travel. The top posters will be displayed at the American Centre in Chennai.

The American Centre is also holding a lecture and film series in July to celebrate US-India space exploration to include a presentation by Mylswamy Annadurai on Chandrayaan I & II, 12 July, at 10 am.
