Aadai is a movie to reckon with in my career. I thoroughly enjoyed working in the film, says actress Amala Paul.
Speaking at the trailer launch of the movie, directed by Meyadha Maan fame Rathnakumar, Amala Paul, said, “I chose to stay away from cinema since I could not get author-backed roles. I was against a woman-centric movies where she is shown as an affected person or someone who sacrifices her life for a cause. Rathnakumar narrated the story to me and I was mightily impressed. I readily agreed to do it.”
It is a movie to reckon with in my career, she says and adds, “There will always be people who will judge the film before watching it. We can’t do anything about it. It was an honest attempt. It is a true film.”
On his part, Rathnakumar, said, “I always wanted to be different. Aadai will be strikingly different from Meyadha Maan. When I completed the script. I was afraid how I will execute it on screen. But my producer Subbu gave me the confidence. Amala Paul is a thorough profession. If she likes a script, she will give her best.”
The movie has music by Pradeep and cinematography by Vijay Karthik. Among those who took part in the trailer launch include actress Ramya, filmmakers Parthiban, Ravikumar, Sreeganesh, Nithilan, Lokesh and Mithram.
