According to the police, Mahesh (27), an auto driver picked up an argument with his mother Thangamani under the influence of alcohol last night.
In a fit of rage, Thangamani picked a kitchen knife and stabbed him. He was then rushed to Government Royapettah Hospital for treatment. Vadapalani police who registered a case said the incident took place due to a family dispute.
