Hyderabad: Concern of water shortage is on the rise in Telangana as the State witnessed 33 per cent deficiency in rainfall 10 days into July.
According to a media report, during South West monsoon season the State receives normal 189.4 per cent rainfall. Although the Met department had earlier said the overall rainfall during the South West monsoon season would be normal, only 126.6 per cent rainfall was witnessed from 1 June to 9 July. The deficiency may affect Kharif operations.
However, Karimnagar and Kumram Bheem districts received six per cent rainfall above normal.
