Rotary Club Chennai Carnatic inducts new team

Film producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, Rotary Club of Chennai Carnatic president Naveen Chowdary and the new team during the installation programme held in Chennai recently.

Chennai: Naveen Chowdary has been elected as the seventh president of Rotary Club of Chennai Carnatic for 2019-20 along with new team.

Parminder Singh Anand has been inducted as vice president, M J Irudayaraj as secretary and Jitesh Parmar as treasurer.

The new president listed out various social projects the club has planned for this year. It includes Vaazhvoli – Helping HIV+ children,

Nimirthu Nil – Helping people use internet for entrepreneurship and availing schemes, Senjolai – Adoption of an Irilur village, Selviyar Sughadharam – Comprehensive hygiene programme including menstrual hygiene for school going girl children and Amudham – Ensuring clean water to institutions serving the poor and destitute, a press release said.

Film producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, who was the chief guest on the occasion said, “Rotary Club is an organisation that helps the needy and has faced challenges by coming forward each and every time the world has been affected be it drought, famine, floods, education and medical.”
