Annamalai varsity releases random number for Agri courses

Chidambaram: Chidambaram Annamalai University has released the random number for B.Sc Agriculture course for academic year 2019-20. The number was released by university Vice-Chancellor Murugesan.

The university campus is the go-to-place for agriculture courses and they also unveiled the random number for B.Sc Horticulture and diploma courses.

Total applicants for B.Sc Agri is 12,373 and 235 applications were accepted, and in the self-finance stream, 3,219 applications were accepted out of 3,281. For B.Sc Horticulture course, 1,763 applications were received and 20 applications were rejected.

For diploma in Agriculture, 1,195 applicants were selected out of 1,214. And for diploma in Horticulture, 590 applicants were selected out of 599.

In total 18,885 applicants’ random number were released. This year, 7,000 more applicants for Agricultural courses were received than the previous year.

The rank list will be released soon and after 25 July, counselling will begin.  Five hundred seats in general and 700 self-finance seats will be filled for Agri courses and in B.Sc Horticulture, 100 seats will be filled. The Vice-Chancellor also informed the media that 11th world Tamil conference would be held on the campus 2021.
