Hyderabad: Khammam Municipal Corporation (KMC) commissioner J Srinivasa Rao yesterday ordered wage cut and shifting of 11 employees for allegedly filming videos on controversial mobile app TikTok during working hours.
According to a media report, all the 11 were outsourced staff. They were warned for their behaviour and for damaging the corporation’s reputation. The data entry operators were shifted to different sections, and the others – office subordinates – were shifted to the field-level.
It was revealed that the videos, which went viral on social media and TV channels, were around two months old. The workers were allegedly found recording videos on TikTok and also chatting on social media during work hours.
