Bharathiraja at his best in ‘Kennedy Club’

Chennai: After Venilla Kabbadi Kuzhu comes Kennedy Club, a movie that speaks about kabaddi.

Ace filmmaker Bharthiraja plays a prominent role in the film. The movie is about women’s kabbadi directed by Susienthiran.

Speaking at the audio launch of Kennedy Club, Bharathiraja says, “It is not a film. It reflects the lives of rural people. I am honoured to play Nallusamy, who contributed a lot for the sport.”

“Cinema is my passion. I wish to be born a Bharathiraja in my next birth too and continue doing films,” he added.

He appreciated his co-star Sasikumar, who plays a kabaddi coach in the film. “He is a wonderful performer with a child-like heart.”

On his part, Susienthiran said, “Bharathiraja sir will definitely get a national award for his performance in the movie. I would give him the dialogue sheets. He would glance at them once and complete his shots in single take. I would enjoy watching him perform.”

The movie has music by D Imman’s music. Among those who spoke on the occasion include Ezhil, Agathiyan, SD Sabha, Lenin Bharathi, Ramprakash, Kathiresan and Siva.
