Woman artist murdered in Chennai


Chennai: The police are conducting inquiries with three persons including the live-in partner of a woman who was found dead in a house at Thirumangalam, Anna Nagar here last night.

According to police, the deceased, Pinky (30), a resident of H-Block, Anna Nagar West, was a native of West Bengal.

She was a professional tattoo artist and was also running a saree business. After separating from her husband Mandal, she was living with Krishna Dilbahadur (26), a native of Nepal.

He was unemployed and the duo had been living in the rented house for the past six months. Yesterday, Krishna came home at 8 pm and found her lying in a pool of blood in the bathroom.
He informed his neighbours who alerted the police.

Inspector Ravi and Sub-Inspector Yuvaraj sent her body for post mortem to Government Kilpauk hospital, registered a case and began investigation. The police checked the CCTV facility available in the building and found two men had entered the house.

Police took Tekbahadur (29), a driver from Aminjikarai, and Krishnabahadur (32) of Anna Nagar to custody. They have also picked up Krishna, as they suspect that Krishna hired the men to kill Pinky.
