Chennai: Benelli has launched the Leoncino 500 motorbike at Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
The scrambler-type motorcycle is available for booking at Rs 10,000 and has a five-year, unlimited kilometre warranty as standard.
The product is powered by a DOHC, twin-cylinder four-stroke, liquid-cooled, 500cc engine, which produces a maximum power output of 47.5 PS at 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 46 Nm at 6000 rpm. The eight-valve motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
Boasting a steel trellis frame, the bike also gets LED headlamps too. The street version of the Leoncino gets 17 inches alloy wheels. It gets tubeless Pirelli tyres that are 120/70-ZR17 section at the front and 160/60-ZR17 section at the rear.
Suspension wise, it has an upside-down 50mm fork at the front and a laterally mounted, rebound and pre-load adjustable shock absorber at the rear.
