“On Wednesday (14 August), we arranged for the idol to be worshipped in sayana thirukolam and from Saturday night to Monday, the idol will be in ninra thirukolam,” Palani added.

He further said this is the 90th Aadi festival in the temple and special poojas will be performed daily in the evening and other events like music, temple procession are scheduled for the coming days.

“This is an excellent initiative and people who couldn’t go to Kanchipuram due to old age can visit here,” said Sridhar of Jafferkhanpet.
