Bank of Maharashtra holds zonal meet

Chennai, Aug 20: Bank of Maharashtra recently conducted its first stage of bottom-up consultation process to generate ideas and review performance of public sector banks and their alignment with national priorities at the zonal level involving all branches within the zone’s jurisdiction. The meet saw the participation of General Manager- Retail & MSME Credit, Nalini S and Zonal Manager, Chennai Zone, Rajesh Singh.

According to a press release, this was a first of its kind consultation and ideation process by Public Sector Banks where the branches were themselves asked to review their performance, deliberate on the issues before the banking sector and indicate on future strategies and the way ahead. The meet also deliberated on bank’s performance and its alignment with national priorities in areas such as credit for infrastructure/industry, credit to farm sector and blue economy, education loans, and many more.
