Chennai: Waters from Papanasam, Servalar and Manimutharu dams will be released from tomorrow (21 August) to 9 September announced Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami today at the second day of grievance redressal camp at Salem.
He also added that the deserving petitions will be solved within a stipulated time and noted that, “Water is important to farmers like how life is important for a human body.”
Chief Minister distributed welfare assistance worth Rs 6.84 crore to 1,250 people and stated that he would take measures to double the salary for people employed in agriculture field.
He added that the government would make ways to grant pension to destitutes and aged citizens.
“Pension would be given to five lakh aged people. For the ones with requisite papers, patta for their house-site and we will implement schemes to double the income of farmers,” Palaniswami announced.
