DSP level probe into NEET impersonation

Chennai, Sept: A special team led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) will probe into the suspected case of impersonation in NEET.

The cae pertains to a complaint alleging that there was a difference between the photo of a first year MBBS student of a government college pasted in his application form and his appearance now.

The student is studying in the Theni Medical College, has offered to leave the course, Director of Medical Education (DME) Dr R Narayanababu said.

The impersonation came to light following the complaint, which was received through an e-mail. An inquiry by an in-house committee found that ‘there is ground for suspicion,’ he said.

According to reports, the boy, a resident of Chennai, has been absconding for the past three days.
