Justice Vineeth Kothari takes charge as Acting CJ of Madras High Court

Chennai: Justice Vineeth Kothari today assumed office as the Acting Chief Justice of Madras High Court.

He was appointed to the post following the resignation of former Chief Justice Kamlesh Tahilramani.

As a lawyer, Kothari practiced in Tax and other Commercial and Constitutional Laws, Arbitration and Company Law for 20 years in Rajasthan High Court and Supreme Court of India.

He was appointed as a Judge in the Rajasthan High Court in 2005.

In 2016, he was transferred to Karnataka High Court and on 23 November, 2018, he assumed office as the Senior Judge of Madras High Court.
