Rowdy Binu Pappachan arrested in Chennai

Chennai: The city police have arrested gangster Binu Pappachan (46) at Triplicane.

According to the police, Binu was at his sister-in-law Lakshmi’s house in Triplicane.

Last night, in an inebriated condition, a fight had broken out drawing the attention of neighbours.

Police arrived at the spot after neighbours informed them of his presence.

Only on Tuesday, Binu’s rival, Arumbakkam Radhakrishnan alias Radha was arrested in Coimbatore. He was brought to the city and remanded in Puzhal jail.

Binu was earlier arrested in June for threatening a city-based businessman by demanding protection money in Mangadu.

A native of Thrissur in Kerala, he worked at a tea stall in the city and later got involved in crime.

He turned infamous after his 45 birthday celebration on 6 February 2018, where a party was organised for him with 200 rowdies and history sheeters in attendance. At the event, he cut a cake using a machete.
